I'm dreaming of a black Summer.

Hi guys! :)
So if you're like me and a lot of the time you can't seem to get out of your comfort zone of wearing black like all time, or your just simply having one of those days you feel kinda fat, bloated and you hate the world, then take a look of some of these outfits I've put together to suit any of your needs.

Black Rihanna side split oversized t-shirt from River Island £20
This top is great for hiding any muffin tops or bloated bellies if you decided to eat the whole pack of cookies (we're all guilty girls). An oversized top like this believe it or not is very versatile. You can give it a more feminine touch by wearing it with some black tye dye jeans with turn up (also available from River Island)  and maybe some brightly colored shoes, some aviators and a really big necklace.

Black Rihanna knot front thigh split skirt from River Island £35.00
This skirt is gorgeous, admittedly a tad expensive for a simple black skirt and only for the daring, but if you've got the cash and you're confident in yourself then go for it. A skirt like this can be worn day or night. For the day time you could pair it with a crop top and long as it's not too revealing, and a pair of Converse to tone it down a little.

Denim jacket with acid wash from ASOS £40
Now I know this is mens but it can still work! I've been looking for a black denim jacket for a while but I love this because it's so different. If you wanted to go for the love/hate option of double denim, this would look good with some plain black jeans or some leather jeans. Also this would look great if you want to wear a midi dress but you're not sure whether it's going to get a bit colder later on in the day which is always a dilemma in good old Great Britain : |

Silver Cross Trilogy hand chain from New Look £5.99
I've always loved all black clothing with some thin gold jewelry  but gold is so last season for me now, I'm loving silver jewelry with everything now, especially black! And hand chains are so in right now.

Silver chunky Eastern hoop earrings from New Look £5.99
These are perf for a really high top knot and extremely minimal jewelry with all black clothing.
MOTO Black acid denim hotpants from Topshop £22
These are great with maybe an oversized top, big sunglasses, and a tote bag. If you want to make it slightly more quirky you could opt for some cute ankle boots or for a more feminine touch just some black strappy sandals.

Limited silver chain plate choker necklace from New Look £9.99
These chokers have been around quite a while but have finally filtered down in to the high street  They're great for day or night and can make the simplest of outfits look amazing!

Lily cut out belted playsuit from Missguided £24.99
This is literally the cutest outfit I've ever seen. Obviously you have to have an amazing figure to wear something like this so if you have an wobbly bits you're uncomfortable about I'd give this one a miss.

So those are my dark picks for Summer, remember it hasn't always got to be a black day, just be comfortable with yourself and a smile is all you need to look good xoxo

Spring Nails.

To have your nails done has always been a big thing for us girls, but for the past few years it seems to have become HUGE! Anything goes really, pointy, oval, square, super long, glitter, piercings and so on.
I've found a few amazing nail products that will look great for the Spring.

Barry M Neon Nail Paint £2.99
Barry M of course is a very popular brand choice for nail polish, this here is a neon pink colour, that if put under uv light will become glow in the dark, perfect for if you're going on holiday to party!

Topshop in 'Carnival' £5.00
Topshop nail range has blew up recently with a whole range of stunning colours for just £5.00 each or 2 for £8.00.

O.P.I in 'Alpine Snow' £10
This is a tad more pricey but if you have the money to spend it's 100% worth it. The quality is so much better than your average polish and the application is definitely easier. White is a beautiful colour for nails and the darker your skin, the better it looks!

Ciate`in 'Black Pearls' Wow Kit £18
Now, you might be thinking black for Spring? But sometimes the contrast of a dark nails and spring colours can look really effective, plus dark nails are very sexy. This gorgeous three dimensional nail look is extremely popular right now and if you want to be bang on trend, this is the way to go. A tad pricey at £18 although there are a lot of cheap alternatives around. Also comes in a variety of colours too.

Essie Mattifying Top Coat £8.99
This to me is extraordinary, it makes ANY nail colour matte! Just paint it on top of your favourite nail polish and you have beautiful modern nails, just like that! I've used this and definitely recommend it for a really different look or to re vamp an old nail polish you no longer use.

Boots Skincare.

These are some of the products from the Boots skincare range, the blue packaging is for normal skin and the green packaging is for sensitive skin types (me). There are quite a few things in this range and it is unbelievably cheap! Each item costing around just £1.50 each. Now with this, I haven't just gone for the cheapest skincare around, because I can't put just anything on my skin, like I say it's very sensitive. But I was using Simple products at the time, and after a while of using one skincare range, my skin just starts to react badly to whatever I'm using, so I had to switch. So, I was looking around in boots and I come across this.
I've been using it for around a year and a half (the longest I've been  able to use a range without my skin erupting) and it is AMAZING. Aside from the fact it is so cheap, this is hands down the best skincare range I've used. The cleansing wipes I just use for things like, if I've gone on a night out and I can't face taking my make up off because I'm way to drunk (we've all been there), or simply if I just can't be bothered sometimes. The cleanser is a really nice consistency, some cleansers I find are really runny and just splurge everywhere when it comes out of the bottle. It's great at removing foundation  but for eyes I recommend you first use the eye make up remover also from the range because you may still wake up with panda eyes!
The eye make up remover is like a thick green gel, you only need a small amount because it's so good. I wear a lot of eye makeup on a daily basis so I need something that will remove every trace. It's really sensitive to your eyes too, some eye products I find, ironically, really sting your eyes if you get a little bit in there. So this is a fave.
The toner is really good, not too drying on your skin, it basically what its supposed to do, removes cleanser residue, whilst still leaving your skin feeling moist and refreshed.
The moisturiser is amazing!!! It leaves this amazing dewy look to your skin and is so hydrating! My skin has never felt so soft after using this!
Then we come to the facial scrub, this is one of my favourites products from this range because the results from this are perfect! The feeling of my skin afterwards is the best my skin has felt after using and scrub. The 3 minute clay mask is just as effective.
So that was my review on this skincare range, basically I love it! :)

New Look

Personally, I've never been much of a New Look fan, but over the past year it has seriously improved! I shop there a LOT now and would probably go as far to say 70% of my clothing comes from there as opposed to like 15% last year. The midi dresses in there I've found are very flattering and a really nice fit, plus they are soo many different styles to choose from! One thing that stands out in there for me is the jewelery, I mean it's not anywhere near Topshop's Freedom range but if you're on a budget it's amazing.
The shoes I'd say are still a little mediocre but there are a few pairs that I've bought recently that caught my eye. So anyway, I've chosen some things from their website to show you guys :) Enjoy...

Highstreet Céline.

Now of course us girls would LOVE to own our very own Céline handbag, but unfortunately  not all of us are so lucky :( The beautiful bag has finally been filtered down from the catwalk to the highstreet, and I've found a few gorgeous cheap alternatives for girls on a budget :)

The 'Winged Pushlock Tote' is from Topshop costing just £38, I have this one and it looks so beauts in real life. It's perfect for everyday use because it's quite big (not huge) because as you know us girls put everything but the kitchen sink in our bags! It's has really nice bright gold fixtures and lots of pockets on the inside.Well worth the money.

These 2 are from H+M, The bright pink one I have to say is a favourite and I definatley will be buying this! The gorgeous pink colour is amazing for Spring/Summer and will add brighten up a dull outfit in no time, costing £29.99. If you're not brave enough to go for such a bold colour, it also comes in white and black.
The white and black bag is also from H+M costing £29.99, it's imitation leather, very roomy and has lots of pockets. Also comes in multi colour beige and neon pink.

This last pick is from ASOS. It's real leather and costs £50. I'm a BIG fan of leopard print, and the fact that it's real leather gives it that special look. It's beautifully designed and leopard print is perfect for ALL seasons so it will last you the rest of the years girls!

Spring 'Go-To' Items.

Do you always have products that you just can't live without for a certain time of year? Well, these are mine.

So this lipstick is Sleek's 'Barely There'. This is probably my all time favourite lipstick, the swatch doesn't even do it justice!  It's a perfect blend of coral and nude with a beautiful smooth texture. It's really versatile too, looks beautiful with a smokey eye and great with a completely natural look. I prefer it with a more natural look. It's perfect for spring!

Next is Maybelline 'Great Lash' mascara. This have ALWAYS been a favourite of mine and it's been around for a very long time. The brush is the perfect size and the texture of the mascara is great. Sometimes you can get a really thick mascara or a really runny one if you go too cheap, but this is perfect. Really affordable and you can go for a really natural look or a dramatic look with just a few more strokes, PERFECT!

This is Mac 'Brule' eyeshadow, it's very neutral but looks perfect for a natural Spring look. Can be used as a base or all over the eye. With just a thin line of eyeliner and a dash of 'Great Lash' mascara your eyes will look amazing!

Now with all these neutral colours, we of course need a dash of pink! This is Maybelline's 'Dolly Pink' Creme blush. I'm not usually a fan of creme blushers, or shimmer, but I think shimmer can look great when the sun is shining and you apply correctly. This is quite a bright pink in daylight so you will only need a small amount, teamed with the right shades and a natural eye and lip, this will look amazing!

So those are my favourite items right now and I hope you enjoyed reading, thank you and check back :)

Eyelure Lashes.

These are my FAVOURITE of all time lashes. 'Eyelure Naturalites Intense' in number 140. Now I don't just buy Eyelure lashes, because I've found you can buy lashes of almost the exact quality of Eyelure lashes in a lot of hair shops, but there is not yet a replica of these specific ones. The reason I love these lashes is because the have a very thin strip (I find it impossible to wear lashes with a thick black strips, mainly the ones from eBay, you can get like 20 pairs of lashes for 99p but they're all basically useless because they look vile on). These Eyelure lashes are big, full, voluminous and the thing I always have to have when I wear lashes, winged out edges! I've always worn my eyeliner thick and winged, (inspired by Marilyn Monroe) I love that really classic look and it really accurateness my almond shaped eyes.
Anyway, these are more of a night time/special occasion kind but I've worn them in the day before with a smokey eye. I usually wear quite a lot of makeup day or night time depending on the look I'm trying to achieve. At the moment you can purchase 2 packs of these for just £4 in ASDA which I was so pleased about, I'm an undercover bargain hunter!

Sleek Eye shadow Palettes.

For the past year I've been using a LOT of Sleek makeup. I want to talk about their eye shadows because I'm in love with them! Now, granted they aren't on a par with Mac, but if you're looking for a cheaper alternative then this should be it! Now, I'll mention my only negative before I go on to the positives. The shimmer and darker colour eye shadows tend to have quite a bit of fallout but if you are careful and take your time then this can easily be avoided. So, the good points. The colors are amazing, really vivid, I have 7 different palettes, my favourite being the 'SHANGRI-LA respect' palette, simply because it's so versatile, I can use it for a natural look or a plum smokey eye. I love real earthy tone shades of make up just because I prefer a more classy natural look to my face. Saying that I am partial to a Kim K like black/grey smokey eye. Which is where the 'Bad Girl' Palette comes in. Now this palette has a LOT of shimmer colours, definatley for a night out or a special occasion. The 'Sleek Shangri-La Supreme' palette is another favourite, a lot of nude colours with some amazing pastel colours, perfect for spring time looks. There is a also a beautiful khaki colour in this that I love, perfect for a nude coloured lid with a dark crease. 'Storm' and 'Sunset' are some of my favourites, a lot of sparkly bronze/rust colours with some deep pink and navy shades. I know a lot of people dislike shimmer eye shadows, but for the right time they can be perfect. So basically, these are great quality affordable eye shadows, at only £7.49 each, I highly recommend!!!
TIP: Use 'NYX' jumbo white pencil in 'Milk' underneath eye shadows for a brighter, bolder look.

Dream Matte Mousse

So, I know there are a lot of mixed reviews about Matbelline's Dream Matte Mousse, you either love it or it hate it!I personally love it! I've been using it for around a year now, by recommendation of my best friend. I love the textureof it and when you first buy it, it has that perfectly whipped smooth look, and you don't want to touch it!I apply mine with a foundation brush, I don't use any expensive brushes, just a standard foundation brush that cost me £1 from Primark. I can understand when people say the look can be very cakey so I probably wouldn't recommend it if it'syour first foundation or you haven't had much experience with a foundation as there is quite a knack to doing it. Having developed that 'knack' I've found it's actually the best foundation I've used yet. If you can apply it to perfection, theoutcome is amazing and FLAWLESS. It literally covers EVERY pore/bump/spot and whatever imperfections you can think of.So I wouldn't just cast this foundation aside because any people that review it badly, review it BADLY. So just give it a try :)

MAKEUP

Hi, so I just wanted to talk about make-up really, everything I like, when I started wearing it, what brands I use etc. So I started wearing make-up when I was around 13 (very young I know). Anyway, I started of wearing just a bit of eyeliner, then I bought mascara and then lipgloss. I never used to wear a lot, I wore it pretty natural, but as time went by I couldn't go a day without it. I thought I was so ugly and gross in school days, I still have a lot of self confidence issues which is why I wear a lot of makeup on a daily basis now. Anyway, I discovered eye shadow a little while later, I used the same khaki green eye shadow EVERYDAY :/ I wasn't a pro those days guys jheez! I then branched to a duo eye shadow from J.lO's then range, it was a light brown matte colour and a beige. I he used the beige up to my brown and the brown for my lid, and this was kind of my look from 14-15. Random thought, I don't know if anyone else remembers those roller ball lipglosses you used to get and the gloss was so runny and gross. I used to buy mine from New Look, I had like a thousand. So over time I started experimenting with different colour eye shadows, blusher and foundation.(I started wearing foundation when I was about 16-17)I wore a LOT of Rimmel make-up back then. I watched a tons of Youtube videos, QueenOfBlendingMUA was my fave I used to love her! I did have quite a natural talent for make up but did build a lot more talent with practice. I loved learning how to blend eye shadows together. So it was only about 2 years ago I started buying Mac, I never used to buy expensive make-up because I thought it wasn't worth it blah blah blah (So uneducated) but buying Mac make up was the best thing I ever did, it's amazing. The eye shadows for me are one of their best products, simply because there is NO fallout. I can't stand when you're doing makeup and there's bits of it all under your eye when you've already done your foundation :( I do use a lot of Sleek eye shadow pallets simply because they're more cost effective and the colours are amaze, although you do get fallout with Sleek eyeshadow. I use Sleek and Mac lipsticks, I think they're almost the same quality to be honest, Sleek do some really nice bold colors. The red Sleek lipstick ('Vixen') is the only red that I like for myself. 'Barely there' is another favourite from Sleek, it's a nude colour with a tiny hint of coral. In Mac I Love 'St. Germain' (obviously), 'Lovelorn', 'Brave', 'Angel'. . .The list is endless! One of my all time favourite eye shadows from Mac is 'Woodwinked', which I seen in so many tutorial videos on Youtube. So, getting to why I wear make up. I've always had issues with the way I look, from the start of secondary school to present. I've just always basically thought I was ugly so I hide myself with make-up. I have to wear make up even to go the corner shop, I know it's bad but that's how I am. I wear full make-up daily, I wish I wasn't so dependent on it but unfortunately I am. I like to wear make up because it makes me feel good about myself, completes my look, gives me a better attitude but more importantly CONFIDENCE! The difference of how I act wearing make up to not not wearing make up is phenomenal! I wouldn't even look someone in their face if I wasn't wearing any. So that's me, I know a lot of girls have the same attitude toward smake up which does make me feel a little bit better about it, just wish I was a natural beauty :/
